Lessons I Learned at This Evening's Nebo Ridge Training Ride

1. Riding on the front for the first 5-6 miles wastes precious energy, particularly on a hot, sticky evening.

2. After changing saddles, double-check the saddle height and the set-back, or your back might start complaining in the middle of a ride.

3. When the heat index is above 100 degrees, don't ride too hard. Better still, stay home in the air conditioning.
