Two of my cycling teammates have crashed during training rides in the last week or so. Fortunately, neither was seriously hurt, and their extremely expensive bikes were okay too. Still, that's two too many crashes, as far as I'm concerned. We don't want any riders to go down.
Accidents do happen, especially early in the season, when everyone's getting use to riding in the group again, after the long winter tethered to our trainers. And there's an understandable tendency for riders to start feeling frisky and start pushing up the pace. But remember, safety first, second, and third.
